Restoris™ Piezoelectric Dental Gel
A revolution in dental care for dogs
Restoris™ piezoelectric dental gel uses piezoelectric technology to promote alveolar bone growth and help prevent tooth loss in dogs. It is placed in periodontal pockets of affected teeth using a prefilled syringe. No mixing required!
Benefits of using Restoris
Promotes bone growth
Restoris uses an innovative, patented technology: piezoelectric particles in the gel produce microcurrents that stimulate bone-forming osteoblast cells. Restoris remains in the pocket for weeks, promoting bone restoration. Studies have shown alveolar bone growth just 30 days after one application of Restoris.*
Fewer extractions
By stimulating alveolar bone formation, Restoris reduces periodontal pocket depth and helps to decrease tooth mobility. The result? More teeth saved.
Reduced plaque and calculus in the pockets where Restoris is applied
Restoris disrupts biofilm formation, thereby reducing plaque and calculus in the periodontal pocket.*
How it works
Dual mechanism of action
In response to mechanical stimulation (e.g., walking, chewing, barking), piezoelectric particles in the patented Restoris formulation produce electrical microcurrents that stimulate bone-forming osteoblast cells. The same electrical microcurrents also aid in the disruption of biofilm.

How to apply Restoris
3 easy steps, no mixing required!
Administer
Using one of the supplied cannulas, infuse Restoris into the periodontal pocket from the prefilled syringe.
Cure
Cure for one minute using the UV curing light provided, causing gel to firm up or harden in the pocket where it has been applied and allowing the piezoelectric technology to begin working.
Seal
Complete process by applying surgical sealant to ensure hardened (cured) Restoris is secured in the pocket.
Frequently asked questions
Restoris™ piezoelectric dental gel is a veterinary medical device designed for use in canine patients being treated for periodontal bone loss. Restoris uses piezoelectric technology and is applied directly into periodontal pockets using a prefilled syringe.
The piezoelectric particles in Restoris produce microcurrents that stimulate bone-forming osteoblast cells. Restoris remains in the pocket for weeks, promoting bone growth.
Restoris has been shown to reduce periodontal pocket depth and stimulate alveolar bone formation, potentially reducing tooth mobility. Additionally, Restoris disrupts biofilm formation, thereby reducing plaque and calculus in the periodontal pocket.*
Restoris is a preservative-free formulation. The shelf life and stability of the Restoris formulation have been established when the product is stored under refrigerated conditions.
Yes. Restoris is designed to be viscous enough to remain in the periodontal pocket during curing step of the application process, which will cause the gel to firm up and harden in place. Applying surgical adhesive for extra retention as a final step ensures Restoris will remain in the pocket.
The guidelines to protect Restoris from too much light exposure are to prevent a premature initiation of the curing process. If Restoris has been exposed to too much light, it will be evident by the inability to extrude the product from the syringe, even with adjustments to the viscosity of the product with warming and cooling.
Yes, Restoris needs to be applied during a dental prophylaxis.
No, a local antibiotic should not be used in the same pocket. An oral antibiotic can be used if the veterinarian feels an antibiotic is needed.
Clinical studies are available upon request by a licensed veterinary professional.
